#7 Pay close attention to the types and number of photographic portraits you see in one day. Where did you see them? How do you think that the content of the portrait changes based on the context in which you see the image (news, facebook, magazine, advertisement, television, youtube, etc)? In other words, what is the difference between the portraits you see on facebook vs. those on the news? What is the difference between the “viewpoint” of the photographer in each situation? What is the difference between their “intents”?

When I look at anybody's photograph on Facebook and when I see one on News my intent to look at the photograph totally changes. I try to look for the reality when I look at a photograph on News, while when I look at a photo on facebook I know that the subject posed for the image and they just want to show what they have been upto. Then photographer also clicks both types of photographs with a different purpose. A journalist wants to show the reality of the scene as much as possible. While a photographer clicking a photo for Facebook want's the photo to look more appealing and tries to alter the scene and also process the image on software's later.
